Mentee Outreach Officer

Do you want to join a fast-paced, international social impact startup? Are you looking for meaningful voluntary experience and a community of ambitious, like-minded people?

We are looking for a friendly, organised, dedicated individual to join us to grow the number of mentees we reach every year. You will be working closely with Simon, our Chief Mentorship Officer, as well as other mentee outreach officers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build lasting collaborations with schools, charities, universities, and other organisations to promote Project Access

    • This includes the research of and communication with these organisations as well as the organisation of potential events and webinars in cooperation with them.

  • Work closely with the Mentorship Programs and Mentor Outreach teams to ensure that our mentee recruitment is aligned with a) the support we provide on our mentorship programs, and b) the mentors we have available.

  • Contribute to building our outreach strategy

    The ideal applicant is:

  • Passionate - we are looking for someone who really cares about access to education and is willing to dedicate their time to making a genuine impact.

  • Open-minded and friendly - we value teamwork and want everyone on the team to feel like a part of the PA community!

  • [PREFERABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL] Has links to and deeper knowledge of any of the following countries: Malaysia, Canada, Nigeria, Singapore, Poland, India, Germany, Denmark, Brazil, or Finland (e.g. having lived or studied there). If you have links to another country, feel free to reach out too!

  • A driven, proactive, and sociable individual who enjoys working with people.

The position is an unpaid, volunteer role that will demand at least 3-5 effective hours of work per week. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Simon, our Chief Mentorship Officer (simon.schuenemann@projectaccess.org).
