Do you want to apply at a top university?
The Project Access programs provide free mentorship helping less privileged students apply for degrees at leading universities.
When you join the program, we aim to pair you with a mentor who studies at your dream university and guides you through the application process (see estimated pairing times below). Depending on when you apply to our programs, your mentor will give you advice on picking the right course and university for you, personal statements, references, interviews, and other aspects of your application that you need support with. You will also get access to our collection of resources for all steps of the application and join an awesome community of inspiring applicants from all around the world.
Sounds good? Then apply now or find out more below about our programs and mentorship. We can’t wait to get to meet you and support you in your application journey to top universities!
Programs:
US Undergraduate Program (for those applying to undergraduate courses at our active US universities)
UK Undergraduate Program (for those applying to undergraduate courses at our active UK universities)
EU Undergraduate Program (for those applying to undergraduate courses at our active EU universities)
Graduate Program (for those applying to Master’s courses at all of our active universities)
Our ‘active universities’ (i.e. the universities covered by our programs) are listed in the application form.
If you wish to apply for a graduate or undergraduate program in two or more admission cycles’ time, you will be placed in the ‘University Preparation Program’ cohort for your relevant region and study level. If you wish to apply for university during the current or upcoming admissions cycle, you’ll be placed in the ‘Main Program’ cohort that takes you through the process of applying. If your application is successful, we will automatically put you in the correct program and cohort based on the answers in your application form.
Program Deadlines:
If you want to enrol (i.e. start studying) at your dream university in 2025, please note the below program deadlines:
🇺🇸 US Undergraduate Program: 8th Sep 2024
🇬🇧 UK Undergraduate Program: 20th Sep 2024 for Oxbridge, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, & Dentistry applicants / 15th Dec 2024 for other applicants
🇪🇺 EU Undergraduate Program: 31st May 2025
🎓 Graduate Program: 8 weeks before the relevant course & funding application deadlines for your desired Master's course, see here for a summary of key deadlines at the universities we provide application support for.
If you apply after these dates, your application will be rejected unless you contact us via the email below with i) evidence that you're at a sufficiently advanced stage of your university application (i.e. proof of completed essays/personal statements), and ii) details of the support you need so that we can assess whether we can provide it within the required timeframe.
We cannot guarantee a mentor or the application support from our program team that you require if you apply after the above program deadlines. For successful applicants, this applies if you haven’t completed the mandatory fields on your Project Access profile before the deadlines.
Those wanting to start at university in 2026 can still apply after these dates ☺️
What if you want to apply to multiple programs (i.e. you wish to apply to universities in multiple regions)?
You can only select one program in your application form. This is the program whose deadline will apply to your application.
However, we can add you to multiple programs after you have applied and your application is successful. To be added to multiple programs in addition to the one you selected in your application form, email us on mentorship@projectaccess.org after you have received email confirmation that you’ve been accepted onto the program.
Just note that if you ask to join additional programs after the deadline for that program, we cannot guarantee that our program teams will be able to give you the support you seek. We cannot guarantee you'll receive a mentor for additional programs you sign up for, regardless of when you join them.
For example, if you wish to apply to universities in the EU and US, but select the US Program in your application form, your application will be rejected if you apply after the US Undergraduate Program deadline (8th September 2024). However, if you wish to apply to universities in the EU and US, but select the EU Program in your application form, your application will only be rejected if you apply after the EU Program deadline (31st May 2025). If your application is successful, you can then email us to be added to the US Program. You will be allowed to join the US Program in addition to the EU Program, but we cannot guarantee what level of uni application support our US Program team can provide if you do this after the US Program deadline has passed.
Expected pairing times:
Our team works extremely hard behind the scenes to match you with incredible mentors. To set your expectations and ensure you apply early enough to receive meaningful support from your mentor, this is how long it takes on average to pair a mentee who is applying in the current application cycle with a mentor after you’ve been accepted onto our program:
UK & EU Undergraduate Programs - 4 weeks
Graduate & US Undergraduate Programs - we’re currently experiencing a mentor shortage on these programs. If you haven’t received a mentor 4 weeks after being accepted onto these programs, please contact us (see email below).
NOTE: we prioritise matching mentees in the upcoming application cycle, so you are very unlikely to be matched with a mentor until 18 months before you aim to start at university.
